I’m all for an expensive plate on a cheap car, but I really struggle to get the logic of having a £30k(?) number plate on a new Chery Tiggo 8, when the money could have been used to buy something SO much better! Also quite amusing that it’s fully debadged too 😅

@TedWelford Proof that people are becoming poorer over time. Surely they got the number plate with a top of the line Range Rover in the past but now they can only afford a Chery... Unfortunately this is how things are going for most... 🤔

@GMauthority As a curious fact C10 and K-Blazer were restyled and produced in South America for over a decade, from 1985 to 1996, as Chevrolet A20/C20/D20 (naming designation by fuel, Ethanol, Gasoline or Diesel) and Bonanza.

@GregKable Renault Clio is the same car since 2012 as the current VW Golf got design tweaks on top of the MK7 generation launched in 2012 as well, both now 14 years old. Not surprisingly the Tesla Model S did last 14 years too. Guess manufacturing got expensive in the last decade. 🤔

It's the opposite, those with FSD will pay higher insurance because the system is flawed, many crashes involving Tesla Robotaxi, Waymo & Cruise to prove. Those who know how to drive will pay less.

Looking German car classifieds today did learn Alfa Romeo made a GP (General Purpose) vehicle for the Italian army between 1951-54. The grill in this 'Jeep' surely the coolest. Now that Alfa & Jeep are sister brands under @Stellantis why not a version of the current Wrangler⁉️🤔

@leisurevirus @edmunds No, the reasoning is different. The average fleet age in the US is 12 years old, meaning most people are driving/buying 12 years old used cars so they have to last for the next buyer... 🤔

@1MonkeyDriver @edmunds You are right buddy! At the rip off prices you are paying for a rip off GM or Stellantis product you NEED the car to last 10 years as you are still trying to pay off the mortgage on those things. At 35k for one of these, the “suckers” are probably onto their 3rd generation 🤣
