I just received my 13th COVID jab at my SE Georgia Publix Pharmacy. Can't make appointment for NovaVax's Nuvaxovid, even on the phone. Not listed on their web site. Prescription required, even for over 65. I am. No line, no waiting, GA residents only. Who makes up these rules?

@amethystarlight You can do most canned lights with a pole gizmo. Lowes, Home Depot, or on-line. And, your going to need that ladder, but 40' might be a tad unwieldy. In your current smoke detector, replace with an Energizer Lithium battery for fewer changes.

Problem: the beep from a fire alarm needing a new 9V battery. Complicating Issue: our only ladder isn’t anywhere near long enough Temporary Fix: stand a 6’ ladder on top of solid wooden blanket box and stretch (yes, it’s unsafe) Solution: buy a 40’ ladder to be delivered in a few days because this will happen again, likely in our living room with a vaulted-ceiling

Obviously addressing potential food and fuel shortages is extremely important, but it's also crucial that the UK government quickly develops and communicates a firm plan to deal with the high likelihood of generic medication shortages occurring soon too.
