It's unfortunate that the two things that would radically benefit gifted kids for the rest of their lives are unspeakable in gifted education. What prevents self destruction? God and family. They can only follow breadcrumbs from fellow gifted grownups who cracked the code.

Is there a movie whose ending upset you the first time you saw it, but upon a rewatch you understood it was actually perfect? For me, it’s Prisoners.

Most Saturdays I spend most of my day preparing for Sabbath Dinner, Cleaning and getting ready for the week ahead. Today my son had an activity and we got lost on the way due to flooded roads being closed. This was the road that was open.

I came home late tonight and discovered this. Let me explain: On special days (my birthday, mother's day) my teen daughter creates schemes to lure my early-rising little ones to HER room instead of mine (each arrow has a snack in front of it) so that I can sleep in.
