@affinity4anime I would love to see more battles. I think Wizards might be shy about introducing more of them because the reception was tepid with their debut but that's probably just a sign that they csn up their power levels.

Just going off the names of these cards, I feel like they could've been battles instead of sagas. New battles might've helped (me personally) feel more excited about Marvel UB.

@LuxOnFiyah @sillymippy They could've done it in a Marvel comic I suppose. Quite frankly, an Omenpath opening up in NYC introducing all kinds of interplanar threats and causing villains to hatch new schemes as Marvel characters interact with MTG ones...that's just a Tuesday in the Marvel universe...

@sillymippy I wish they had used the omenpaths to explain why these UB sets are meshing into the story (Standard). Or incorporated at all. I wish these UB sets had some overarching story within them and weren't just "look at all the guys you love from this IP. Aren't they neat?"

@SteadtlerA58435 @gofishh77 ...bread in the US probably does have additives that aren't in European bread, generally speaking. You can certainly find products with fewer additives in the US but you would really need to research what things actually are because the labels will always look "full of chemicals"

@SteadtlerA58435 @gofishh77 Hey so...the US has stricter laws about LABELING what's in a product, not about what goes in a product. That's why you can look at a European label vs an American one on the same product and it looks like the US one is "full of chemicals." That being said....

@robertliefeld Excalibut. Seriously though, this was just before I really got into comics. I started "seriously" collecting around X-Force #4, but they were by far my favorite comic book team....

For the history buffs. New Mutants was a dumpster fire when I agreed to accept the assignment. “You can do anything you want with it because we are about to cancel it”. I took the comic to #1, outselling Claremont & Lee’s X-Men, with no variant covers and no gimmicks or enhancements. This was a turn around not seen since Frank Miller on Daredevil a decade earlier. My impact on New Mutants was as a writer. The problem with the book prior to me was the writing. It was through my writing that issues #98-100 sold 2.2 million copies. That is more than the entire year previous to my joining. New Mutants was selling 110.000 copies in a sea of X-books selling 350k and above.

@menmakii @zerotoaster This 100%. I scroll through shows on Crunchyroll and it's show after show of obvious lazy isekai slop that seems almost procedurally generated. But the good ones are really good.

I watched a bit of Mushoku Tensei and I like it a lot so far but I’ve heard many people hate it? It seems like it’s one of the better isekai anime

@japan_nobunaga If it's just a greeting, you can give some information about the state of your life while maintaining a positive appearance. The following are some common replies based on how good or bad things are. I'll be going in a most positive to least positive order: (5)

In America, "How are you?" is just a hello. You say "good!" and keep walking. Nobody actually wants the answer. But in Japan, if someone asks "genki?", they mean it. So you tell them. Your health. Your family. Your back pain. So when the American asked me, I began to explain everything... and they had already walked away. Was it a greeting? A trap? I am still standing here, America. Please. Explain.

@japan_nobunaga "Settling in" includes a widened stance, crossing their arms or putting their hands on their hips, maybe even leaning against something...anything indicating they're getting comfortable enough to sustain a lengthy back and forth conversation about life. (4)

@pnHhL66xSPK5eYW @tazeinibuzei12 It's all women in the US read. It used to be pretty face up with the old Harlequin romance novels, now it falls under the category of "dark fantasy," but it's quite an industry in the US. They don't market to men as much, I guess they just expect us to watch porn...
