Unionists supported the British Army, RUC, UDR & various Security Services during the conflict, this is an explicit support for State Violence & Repression! Why are they never questioned on this or why they didn't have an alternative to State Terrorism?

Belfast ranks 32nd per capita for asylum seekers in the UK. Northern Ireland hosts 2,379 in total. That’s 0.1% of its population. NI is 97% white. Asylum seekers are not “illegal migrants”; they’re going through a legal government process. factcheckni.org/articles/immig…
Allison Pearson@AllisonPearson

Belfast houses more asylum seekers per capita than almost any other place in the UK. One in 200 people in Belfast is an illegal migrant. Who could possibly have foreseen civil unrest? It’s the immigration, stupid.

The overwhelming majority of people in our community are kind, caring and welcoming. Those who have carried out racist attacks do not and will never speak for people here. I visited the local community, including some of our ethnic groups, in North Belfast to offer my support.

The community of North Belfast is made up of incredibly kind, generous and welcoming people. Today I met with community and youth leaders, representatives from ethnic minority communities, and local residents in Kinnaird, Ardoyne and The Bone to offer my full support following Monday's vicious attack. I also met with health workers in the Mater Hospital to offer my support during these difficult times. In recent days, we have witnessed dangerous and disgraceful racist attacks across the North. There can be absolutely no place in our communities for racism. But what has not been recognised enough is the work being done every day by people at the heart of our communities to support one another. Despite the disgraceful efforts of those seeking to sow hate and division, communities are standing together. That spirit of solidarity represents the very best of us. Thank you to everyone in North Belfast who took the time to speak with me today, and to all those who continue to be a beacon of light during these difficult times.

Racism has no place in our city. We must challenge hatred and division wherever it appears. Today, thanks to west Belfast partnership comm groups, educators, and healthcare workers came together to coordinate a united response to the violence we have seen in recent days.

I've just left the Mater Hospital after meeting health workers from many backgrounds who are genuinely terrified for their own safety and for the safety of their families. They are appealing for those behind these attacks to stop. These health workers are the people who care for us and our loved ones when we need them most. I made sure to share with them the deep appreciation that the vast majority of people have for the work they do every single day

@gemmacaddell86 Whether they are out rioting, burning children out of their homes, or posting racist shite on Facebook about 'legitimate concerns' they are nothing but a bunch of racist, knuckledragging scum. Defend them all you wish.

I understand the practical issues with immigration, it’s simple mathematics that adding extra ppl to an already struggling system creates problems. Same with the fact we have enough of our own violent offenders without properly vetting and therefore adding more to the mix. However what is making me cringe is the “I don’t mind if people come here if they pay their way”…… Burns out a foreign businesses who pay tax and claims he lives with his ma so his girl can claim she’s a single parent and get her rent paid 🙈🤣

SNOOKER - Alex Higgins lived near us in S/Belfast. I gave him a lift from time to time. One day he told he was going to The City Airport. I decided to run him down. On getting out of the car I knew he wanted to give me something. He handed me his book. Decency.

@gemmacaddell86 No legitimate concerns, just hatefilled people, scum of the earth, intent on destroying anything not white/protestant There is nothing legitimate about their concerns Last year those arrested for racist riots, over 50% had a history of domestic violence. That's a real concern

@gemmacaddell86 No they do not, they claim they do, but I've yet to head 1 of them put together a coherent argument on the issue. This is driven by racism, nothing else, people can claim all sorts of reasons, but it's about hating non-white people. They are the real danger in communities!
