@mak3333 @Romy_Holland Even just the adhd subreddit is a cesspit. I got a late in life diagnosis and thought I'd check it out. What a horrible clump of people with victim complexes that believe that your life is over and you'll never be happy because adhd. I'm much happier dealing with it on my own.
English

@Romy_Holland Can you imagine a Reddit titled ‘ADHD Partners’ not being completely dominated by miserable people? Those who are happily married to ADHD partners aren’t looking for a place to commiserate.
English

it’s plainly true that a vast majority of people never change and it doesn’t matter how badly the person you’re dating wants to change, they almost certainly won’t. they won’t outgrow it, they won’t figure out the one weird trick to stop doing the bad thing or start doing the good thing or whatever.
marry them with the expectation that their flaws will not disappear, and will in fact become more obvious and annoying to you over time.

when i go on r/adhd_partners and the top response to every post on there is 'if you're not married, leave now. it doesn't get better'

@leonberdot @xxhajixxx "Each character makes one sound"
Oh you sweet summer child. Almost all kanji make at least two different sounds. Then there's rendaku, and if you really want to fear something look up the potential readings of 生.
English

@xxhajixxx When I first started to learn about Japanese, I thought "each character only makes one sound. That should make it easier to learn, right?"
Unlike english, where cough, through, though, tough, thought, etc. are all pronounced completely differently.
I guess it's all difficult 😵💫
English

@FAB_Zzrot @xxhajixxx This is padded by having each pronoun be a different verb form. In French, for I eat and you eat, we have "je mange" and "tu manges / vous mangez". Japanese does not create a new verb form based on the pronoun associated with the sentence.
English

@AI_biyo_shi @xxhajixxx You say there are 7 mysteries in Japanese.. what are the other 6?
English

@xxhajixxx 4、7も2つ読み方あって、
1匹、2匹、3匹
一本、2本、3本
とか、初歩でやる気無くすよね。

@MUKIDEZA2 @OctaviusGilmour Do note: American cheesecake (and no-bake American cheesecake) are VERY different to Japanese cheesecake. The flavour is much richer and the texture is more dense and creamy.
English

@OctaviusGilmour チーズケーキは食べたことあるけど
ベリーソースがかかってるのは無いですね!食べてみたい!

why do Japanese people hate cheese so much????
日本語

@SonohennoKuma @PilotAlan1 Adding to what everyone else has said, as long as you can find an american-style sausage, all of the ingredients are easily available in japan. Fresh butter biscuits from the oven are incredible all on their own as well.

I’ve got it!!! The next thing our amazing Japanese friends can discuss besides barbecue, another southern dish! Biscuits and Gravy!!!! I don’t recall a single place that I visited in Japan that offered biscuits and gravy. How about at my Japanese friends have you ever tried biscuits and gravy?

@whatsittoyabub @s4rah_dev @GarrettPetersen If you have snow where you live, just make sure to only use fresh/clean snow and to pack it down before you pour the syrup on it or it'll just drill super deep into the snow.
English

@CryptoZeddd @lporiginalg But if we change Answer B to 0%, then we end up in a full recursion loop.
English

@lporiginalg It is a liar's paradox in multiple-choice form.
• If 25% is the right answer, the probability of picking it is 50%.
• If 50% is the right answer, the probability of picking it is 25%.
In short: there is a 0% chance of picking the right answer
English

@Iron_fist_sanc I'm so glad the auto-translate feature is here because we can finally tell japanese people how much we also hate these people.
English

@EddyAndreas4 @honeymoon250 This looks like an oil / garlic / herb style sauce. I'd go straight to a beef stroganoff, though.
English

@honeymoon250 What do you use for seasoning the pasta/steak and what do you use for the pasta sauce?
English

@whatsittoyabub @s4rah_dev @GarrettPetersen If you have a candy thermometer, what you're looking for is to heat it to the "firm ball" stage, or 250F/120C. Then, (if you don't have snow) get some shaved ice and pour it over in a bit of a strip. A couple seconds later, start rolling up your treat on a popsicle stick.
English

@s4rah_dev @GarrettPetersen That sounds amazing, thank you
English

@dean_roberti @alexp_ssc He is using the same form. Arched back + leg drive to drive shoulders into the bench.
English

@alexp_ssc So why not use the same form on incline?
x.com/alexp_ssc/stat…
alex@alexp_ssc
Measly 205x6 Must incline 275 immediately
English

Cope. This is just good bench press technique. And if you're not doing this it's why you think 225 is heavy.
Jay @Jayzus_
Don't listen to the people sayin 225 is an easy bench. They be the same ones doin this bullshit
English

@BuckeyeBackup @alexp_ssc Dog, this guy is arching his back. See that part where his shoulders move in the direction of his hips and he plants his shoulders into the bench? That's when he arches.
English

@alexp_ssc Bullshit. This is cheating, dumb, and isn’t allowed in powerlifting competitions.
This is what good form looks like
English

@TenxTen00 @NickStillHere You don't know this specifically because you don't bench. This is likely the wrong calendar day to be explaining this to you, but leg drive on your bench is very much a thing and it sounds like bullshit until you experience it for yourself.
English

@TenxTen00 @NickStillHere You're not pushing up with your legs. From the perspective of this picture, you're using your legs to push to the right (towards the head). This combined with the arched back drives your shoulders into the bench creating a more stable platform to press off of.

English

This is actually the proper way to bench. This what happens when we undervalued physical education in grade school. Stuff like this shoulda been taught at an early age
Jay @Jayzus_

English

@Meu_amor786 A good strength standard that any healthy guy can get within 6-12 months of lifting would be 75% of his bodyweight for 10 reps.
English

@TheXMatriarch Why?
Duty comes from a promise.
What exactly does a wife promise in a typical Christian marriage?
"To have and to hold, and to love and cherish."
What specifically does that mean.... it means nothing.
She has promised him nothing.
So why does she owe him anything?
English

Women need to stop acting like sexual rejection inside marriage is some harmless inconvenience a good man should just silently absorb forever.
It breaks his spirit, damages the bond, and teaches him that the deepest part of him is unwelcome in his own home.
That is not a small issue. That is marital negligence.
Mans Ascent@Mans_Ascent
She failed as a wife.

@asxcry_ @seanfeucht I've done my research on translations. I'm distinctly aware of the greek and hebrew words used for homosexuality where others are not used.
Thousands of independent translators agree the bible says homosexuality is wrong. Do you agree with the bible, or are you coping in sin?
English

@ActionPhilip @seanfeucht every person who is affiliated with the christian institution backs up the christian institution?wow what a shock. Maybe it's time for you to do a deep dive about biblical translation errors. But despite that,we as a society have overthrown a lot that was in the bible, y not here?
English

Being a Christian is now deemed “conduct detrimental to the team”?
You are going to regret this.
