Robb gave unclear orders, he never told Edmure that thebplan was to ambush Tywin, only to hold his position, which doesn’t prescribe one from acting. It’s even worse when you think about how Edmure is technically the most important bannerman of Robb, being the Lord of Riverrun and in a way, his Lord Paramount of the Trident. Robb not sharing his strategy is one of his worst mistakes, perhaps the « worst », because unlike becoming King in the North, or sending Theon to Pyke, or marrying Jeyne, this one solely rests on him. What did he expect, that Edmure, the only Lord so far who showed care to his folk, would let Lannister forces continue to pillage his lands in impunity? To not seize an opportunity when it is presented? It’s stupid not to expect that, and if Robb wanted to set up a trap, he should explain that plan to his officers, they’re not telepaths.

@0laribiwa @KatanaManEnjoye He saved his people, he is a true Lord. While the rest play at war and the game of thrones, he saved his folk, that speaks of his character.

Nice try changing the subject. Never said that the US was a nation of peace, just that it is better BY ANY METRIC, than fucking shithole Islamic Iran, who has been the equivalent of a fucking comic book vilain ever since it’s inception. And for military/espionnage ops, I can print out a smiliar thing for any remotely important country on Earth, be it France, Cuba, the USSR, etc etc It ain’t even an argument, just a retarded, kinda loved includes some ops that were justified, such as helping the Tibetans, or the First Gulf War. If your argument is that Iran somehow has the moral high ground, I invite you to live according to your principles and enlist in the IRGC, instead of masturbating around, on an American app feeding money to the American technological complex.

@AdrianGabison @DonAlt What a peaceful nation. Can you explain this? Is it because you "care"? Or because the 2 most powerful lobbies in US politics is the oil and weapons industries?

The regime of the Mollah deserve to be oblirated, it has wrought nothing but pain and misery since its inception. It deserves to die an agonizing death. And since you care about children this much, in Iran, they legally marry children, beginning at 9, they send them on minefields with little keys to paradise, they murder them for not wearing hijabs, etc etc Evil deserves to die.

@ntiarxaouz @DonAlt Ah yes, the Islamist regime that came about through an alliance with Soviet backed Marxists, to overthrow the Shah that was backed by the US in the 50s, was in reality put in place by the US. Jesus. I fucking care for my friends both in and out of Iran, they deserve better.

@AdrianGabison @DonAlt It's not black or white idiot, stop giving fake dilemmas. USA put the mullahs in charge, the same way they put the Taliban. Don't act like you care about the rights of the people of Iran. Stop getting involved in other countries' affairs.

@GBlueish26473 @_Max____Max_ @DonAlt Did you think WW2 was fought with flowers and nice words? How about the American Civil War? Or the French Revolution? War’s a terrible thing, but it is a necessary thing. You live in peace built atop absolute violence.

@PoohXiCoin @DonAlt Bruh, here’s the thing, the complete destruction of evil ideologies is a good thing actually. Marxism, Nazism, Islamism, should all be destroyed with utmost prejudice, without an ounce of mercy, for they would offer us none.

@POOHEADZ189 Some honors are more selfish then others. Each of them have their own hidden honor. Protecting their family in spite of everything else, be it oath or duty. Ned’s protecting Jon whilst Jaime protects his family, both « betraying » Robert in a way. Ironic.

Good lord, he WAS selfish. The reason Ned hates him is because he took action against Aerys when it was his own father and his own city on the line, when they were alone. When it was Ned's brother, or the entire nation, and others could kill him after? He did nothing.

if you need a “selfish” reason for jaime’s actions against the mad king then self preservation isn’t it. i’d say he hates the mad king for taking him as a kingsguard then proceeding to destroy his entire worldview by being a sadistic villain. it was a sort of vengeance.

Dragonstone is a powerful symbol to hold and a primary line of marital defense. Remember, when Robert gives Dragonstone to Stannis, they are still Targaryens on the other side of the Narrow Sea. Gotta keep the likes of the Velaryons in line. And Stannis a genuine maritime genius

@Hezbolsonaro Melissandre powers aren’t known or even believed for all but a few. Stannis’s supposed religion has no bearing on his claim to the Throne. My personal canon is that Melissandre wormed her way into Stannis circle by confirming his doubts about his nephews’s parentage.

Because order would break down. If your King, a third brother to the previous one, usurps his nephews (remember Renly doesn’t know that Joffrey and the rest are bastards) and his older brother, there’s no sense that a second or third son shouldn’t do the same to their older brother

@FantasyWorldW1 Except that, based on the information available to him, Renly had no reason to accept. He 10x Stannis' army and was about to steamroll him. Why should he settle for that deal?

@nonregemesse @rathore316 What was best for his family also coincided with what was best for the Realm. Bolton bragged about killing the rightful King, and threatened the Watch unless they gave him his bride (protected by Guest’s Right) Jon was legitimate in his action against Bolton

The Night’s Watch was completely justified in killing Jon. He swore an oath not to take a part in the affairs of the realm and there’s no exception because someone really wants to. It’s the kind of thing Ned Stark would execute a Lord Commander for.

The fan art gap between Bittersteel and Bloodraven really shows the fandom's Blackwood bias lol. I see a new piece of Bloodraven fan art every day, meanwhile Bittersteel gets one a quarter. Anyway these are my faves

@LeCuzzy @alucennia Ned is a bit wary that the Demon of the Trident might one day awaken from his drunken slumber and realize that something is not quite right about his best friend who is a paragon of honor, having a bastard. Robert might be a drunkard, but others could have their eyes wide open.

@alucennia Also I think generally a lot of the stuff about bastardy here has been retconned. Jon would probably be fine in court, even as a bastard. We meet and hear about nobleborn bastards that are doing just fine living it up in castles.

Cat threw Jon out of his own home at 14 and led him to believe that joining the Watch was his only option in life. Ned is not blameless in this, but ultimately the fault lies centrally with Cat because she was the one actively pushing for him to leave.
Lucy tweet media
Jas 🦢@lemoncakes_xo

And even if Catelyn was 'abusing' Jon like some people seem to believe, that would make Ned a negligent and complicit father. When in reality, the only time Cat ever asked about Jon's heritage, Ned scared her so badly she never brought it up again.

Kenobi failed Anakin and almost doomed the galaxy. He also failed Luke, asking him to kill Vader (same thing Palpatine wants) which would have set Luke on the Dark Side. Blunders stemming from an inability to understand life, because life has no value to the Jedi, only the Force.

@Hotaru99 @superpio191 I disagree. Obi-Wan is the shining example of embodying the Jedi ideals. He lost many loved ones and never gave into his pain. When Bo Katan tries to use Satine's death to convince him to aid Mandalore, he says that he can't allow his feelings to cloud his judgement.

@haddenjedi @nikicaga Jaehaerys was self conscious about his own accession to the throne and because of it, his relationships with the women of his family were forever affected, most of all when it came down to politics. It is the true seed of the Dance.

@nikicaga I don’t like when people blame Jaehaerys for the dance. Calling the Great Council literally prevented a different one from happening, and Viserys (the ACTUAL person at fault) could have prevented the dance from happening by following his example.
