If you know you’ll be proven right, why whip your MPs to vote against it?” Starmer’s reply: “It’s a stunt.” Funny how it was never a “stunt” when he was demanding one for Boris Johnson. In 2022, as Opposition Leader, Starmer tabled the motion himself to refer Johnson to the Privileges Committee over Partygate. He raged in the Commons: • Accused Johnson of “dishonesty” • Called him “a man without shame” • Said he showed “total disrespect for national sacrifice” • Declared: if he respected the public, “he’d resign.” Now the shoe’s on the other foot over the Mandelson vetting row, and suddenly scrutiny is a “stunt” and Labour MPs get whipped to block it. The quotes that once damned Johnson now read like a perfect description of Starmer’s position. Damning hypocrisy.

@robp1889 @scuba178 @AlanGrinch Fair enough, we've some who are beyond hope, and also fair, Bindon improved after a v.shaky start, but my concern is decent players like Tango, Burrows, even Hamer, O'Hare, etc. who've just got worse and worse.

My take on the manager situation. Wilder is a solid 7 out of 10 championship manager who can work wonders with a limited budget. We could risk it all AGAIN looking for a 8-9 out of 10 but in my opinion we give wilder 2 seasons and we will be challenging again. Patience is key.

@David_Archer007 @TortosaExpat Rubbish. Most goals we’ve conceded in Davies games are down to the defence being guff. Take yesterday and Weds night. All 6 goals are defensive errors. Cooper doesn’t save a single one.

@TortosaExpat He’s wank. Doesn’t command his area, can’t catch & has conceded 19 goals in 11 games. Other than that he’s done well. All this dead wood needs moving on & start over. Even if it takes 3-4 years.

Will any Blades players look back on this season fondly? A few should: Adam Davies - actually got to play a few games and showed he isn't that bad after all. Probably better than Coops this season. Femi Seriki - came off the naughty step and was a big reason results turned...

We've been dire for 1½ seasons now, difference last year, we could still defend. We've now even lost that.
