Looking at a chart through different kinds of astrology or house division systems is like looking at a mug from different angles. At some angles of seeing the mug, I can see the handle. Other angles, I can't see the handle at all, but it's the same mug.

This is how the different astrologies and house divisions all have a potential to provide helpful info. This is my favorite metaphor to use in consult to explain to clients who come to me worried about the different practices.
