Looks like the Banks won on this front, the recent texts in the Crypto Clarity Act explicitly prohibits yield on holding stablecoins.
This could have impact on actors in XRPfi that don't do actual DeFi.
It would ban all custodial stablecoin issuers - CEXs, centralized platforms, vault curators etc from passing on yield.
Imo this is good for DeFi, perhaps not so great for potential centralized yield products in the US.
