So @needGod_net not only misattributed Thomas Aquinas to St Augustine, he tried to say the quote means EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what it actually says! And Ryan left out the most important part of what Thomas is saying here—that Ryan’s view is “rejected as heretical” 😂😂😂 SLOP!

SANTIAGO — According to a communique from the Patriarchate of Antioch's Archdiocese of Chile, Francisco Salvador Broussaingaray has been laicized. He had served as parish priest at Holy Virgin Mary Orthodox Church (Iglesia Ortodoxa Santisima Virgen Maria), the country's largest Orthodox church.
The Archdiocese states that, due to the nature of his conduct, Salvador is banned from entering the parish for 10 years except with express archepiscopal authorization. These guys are raging because I've read the Apostolic Fathers and it only made me more protestant lol. didn't see their modern dogmas in the writings of Clement, Ignatius or Polycarp. that drives them nuts. they're incapable of owning their doctrinal development.

Even when Scripture uses the legal language of "debt forgiveness" or "courtroom acquittal", this should never be seen apart from the language of transformation.
Separating “justification” from “sanctification” is completely arbitrary and not at all present in the language of Christ, who is always the standard by which we must interpret St Paul. When in the parable of the unforgiving servant the master forgives the debt, this debt forgiveness must then be followed by a transformation in the servant which makes him like his master. When the servant accepts the forgiveness of the debt with gratitude without then becoming like his master, he is thrown into prison to be tortured. The gift of the forgiveness is free, but it is meaningless and even worse for us if we do not change our ways and become like the master.
