@PixelBibleBytes Yeah i understand what you mean, also "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Psalm 16:11
@SannRZK Of course. The throne after all has angels that speak of His holiness eternally.
I just wanted to inform that this atheist claim is full of error and it's kinda sad that an aversion to God is thinking all His ultimate plan is a never ending church service.
Bible doesn't say this at all.
In fact, it says that we'll live in a prefect peaceful society here on earth where Christ is the center, but we seem to have jobs, agriculture, societies, I wouldn't be surprised if we'll have science and art as well.
I was guilty of this too, but most atheists and often Christians view of heaven and hell are not biblical but are instead created by fiction.
@HD_81_@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo Yeah, it's not like your works are gonna make you more saved, unless you haven't heard about rewards we will receive in heaven for good works but it's like you're not even reading, i'll just say this, if you don't want to believe what i say, believe what God has to say, God Bless
@SannRZK@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo If you agree that God judges us by works, then you’ve conceded that it is an active, obedient faith that saves us.
Or are you saying he somehow judges our works without them having to do with salvation?
@HD_81_@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo I'm not neglecting that our works are going to be judged, but in the case of those who have not been born again, they will receive everlasting destruction, but those who have been saved they will receive rewards, or suffer loss if the works get burned but they will still be saved
@SannRZK@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo Yeah, YOU have to have faith in him. If you don’t, you fail to accept the grace.
We believe in the same source of salvation, just a different way of receiving it.
And I think the Bible is abundantly clear that we are judged by works. No getting around that.
@HD_81_@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo You're misunderstanding what i'm saying, you should have faith in HIM, not in yourself, in your own flesh, you don't believe you're saved only by the grace of God if you think Jesus is not enough to save you, i have read those same verses, and they don't mean meriting salvation.
@SannRZK@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo I could say the same to you about faith. Why are you relying on your faith to save you and not just God’s grace?
I’ve already demonstrated that God not only cares but JUDGES us by our obedience. I don’t see how you reconcile James 2 and Matthew 25.
@HD_81_@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo Well, you just said it yourself, can't be only by grace in your view if it's not only by Christ's works but your own works included too, and again, if salvation was contingent in your own works, even if it's 50% Jesus and 50% you, you would still have an opportunity to boast.
@SannRZK@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo Who told you we believe we can save ourselves? It is only through the grace of God that we are saved.
However, our faith must be obedient. Our works are necessary cooperation with his grace.
Matthew 25:31-46
Galatians 5:6
James 2:22-24
Matthew 7:21-23
@HD_81_@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo You are still neglecting the sufficiency of what he did to save you on the cross if you think you also need your own works to save yourself, and that would also give you a reason to boast before God, and he doesn't want that
@SannRZK@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo Depends on which Law you follow.
If you do those things as a JUDAIZER, you will not be saved, because you are neglecting Christ’s work on the cross.
If you follow those things as Christ’s Law in faith working through love, you are saved.
This isn’t difficult to understand.
@HD_81_@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo You said works of the law are different from works of charity, but your works of charity would also be part of the law, and keeping the law cannot save you. "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 7:12
@SannRZK@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo And what is this supposed to prove? The Mosaic Law contains overlap with Christ’s law, so what?
Read Romans 2-3. If you follow those commands not because of Christ’s work on the cross, you are bound to the whole Mosaic Law; the one no longer in use. The thing being condemned.
@HD_81_@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo Guess what's written in the Book of the Law?
Love God - Deuteronomy 6:5
Love your Neighbor - Leviticus 19:18
And what did Jesus say? "All the LAW and the Prophets hang on these two commandments" Matthew 22:40
@AlonsoPala2@UncleVuitton@needGod_net Obviously if you don't do any works nobody is gonna think you truly have faith, because you're not showing any, but if you think your works can save you or help you to stay saved, you are wrong, please don't blindly believe everything an institution tells you if it's not biblical
@SannRZK@UncleVuitton@needGod_net That's not the point of the book of Ephesians; chapter 4 mentions that now you must do works to show that faith, because just believing doesn't save you.
Those who add water baptism as an extra requirement to “really” be a Christian, are making the same ERROR the Galatians were.
Adding 1 good act of obedience as part of being saved = Christ won’t save you (Gal. 5:2)
Whether it be circumcision, baptism or sharing the gospel.
@HD_81_@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo No, For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” meaning all things written in the Pentateuch, which are not just the ceremonial laws
@SannRZK@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo …which is why we should look at the context of Romans 4 and see that the works discussed are ceremonial. The point is that Paul is reconciling matters of circumcision with the Gentiles.
@HD_81_@crushedtoleft25@Xtopher_Uzo So was Abraham justified before or after the law was given? Paul is talking about the same thing when he is talking about works, you know what's also part of the law? not coveting, not commiting adultery, and everything else. No one is justified before God by the law
@AlonsoPala2@UncleVuitton@needGod_net Why do people think that works can only matter if they justify you before God? That's such a weird way of thinking
@UncleVuitton@AlonsoPala2@needGod_net If you mean that just the desire to be saved is enough for you to actually be saved, that's not my position, i don't think that's Ryan position either. But you shouldn't think it's fake just because it sounds too good, but because it's true it's so good. That's why it's good news
@SannRZK@AlonsoPala2@needGod_net Do you understand how nice Christianity would be if all that was required was for our disposition to turn towards Christ and we would be saved.. Ryan’s Gospel is literally that.
Unfortunately it’s a cheap and dishonest way of looking at reality…
@realbenbriggs@needGod_net I've been watching Needgod.net's content for a while, and from everything i've heard him say is not that works don't matter, he does talk about the importance of living Holy, but his point is that no works of your own can save you, neither do they help you stay saved.
@needGod_net This is the dumbest scripture interpretation I’ve seen all week
This is an instruction to not be judiaizers
Not an instruction to violate whatever commandments you want because works don’t matter
