@totofinance Let's be honest. Most of the technical stuff is boring. That's why so few actually win in this market.

Custody is the most boring word in finance. It is also the most important one. Every other aspect of asset ownership, pricing, liquidity, transferability, yield, depends on custody being correct. If custody fails, everything built on top of it fails simultaneously. The financial industry learned this in 2008. The crypto industry learned it in 2022. The RWA industry is in the process of learning it right now. The ones that built custody correctly before the lesson arrived will be fine. The ones that built everything else first will not.

Most investors think diversification is about owning different things. It is actually about owning things that fail differently. A portfolio of gold, silver, copper, and platinum is not diversified if all four are held through the same custodian using the same ownership structure with the same counterparty risk. True diversification requires different assets AND different ownership structures AND different custody jurisdictions. Most portfolios achieve the first. Almost none achieve all three.
