@arielhelwani I wasn’t there but it seems to me the guys tried to put every fright available they could for Dana to choose from. And from what Dana White has publicly said, He was never picking Jones to be on that card. Maybe the other guys wanted Jones more than Dana did?

Jon Jones has now confirmed all parts of what I reported on the White House negotiations — most recently that the UFC would not budge over the $15 million mark.
Dana White being adamant that Jon Jones was never going to be on the card makes zero sense, considering other UFC officials were negotiating and speaking with his team and lawyer.
It’s simple — these comments are a hedge. They don’t want to come out and say they couldn’t deliver. It doesn’t make you look very good to the administration when you can’t deliver the top American star.

Dana White is asked to respond to Jon Jones recent posts: These guys went out, found everything that they thought was available and possible and then I picked the fights. There's no way in hell I was putting him on the card, no matter what the money was. Jon Jones was never gonna fight on the White House card.
