@RebeccaCokley @GailSimone Sure, I’ll muddy the water. In the warm bosom of the Palmetto State y’all is singular - for an individual or a singular group. For plural, we would say “all y’all.” You could just start making everybody from Pittsburgh and have them say “yins”

I have Southern family & a lot of Southern followers. Every once in a while, I hear from a Southern reader kindly saying they don't say y'all for a single person, only for groups.
I've asked MANY times here.
Is y'all just for groups? Or can it be for one?
