Air Canada is a federally regulated institution.. then came the 1995 Quebec independence referendum.. 50.6% voted to stay in Canada.. by 54,000 votes.. the country came within a single percentage point of splitting in half.. over language.. so when the CEO of the national airline posts a condolence video in English only.. it's not a PR mistake.. it's walking into 250 years of open wounds without looking down.. Canada almost split in half over this exact thing 30 years ago.. and the man running the national airline had absolutely no idea.
