Resident friend came up to me with stricken look & a hug, saying how sad she was that one of my #homeless friends had just died! Her few details were 3rd hand. I've DMd @VancouverPD who *could* tell me for certain if they want. I'm very shaken! This is so unexpected! #Vancouver

What a mess and completely preventable. A publicly funded health system should have more authority around vaccines - they are not polite suggestions. And who gets to fund this mess? Canadian Taxpayers. Who benefits? Those who don’t think vaccines work, despite the science.

We just voted to keep property taxes low with the major affordability challenges residents and small biz are facing in our City. ABC have asked staff to report on three property tax increase scenarios for 2026: 2.5%, 1.5% or 0%. Once again, three Councillors wouldn’t take a position and vote. Voting is literally a Councillor’s job description.

@neil_wyles @PtFry On a recent visit to Sydney Australia, we found public toilets very clean, safe and attended to in the downtown area. But Australia also has historically different housing and drug policies, noting marijuana is the only street legal drug and that is only in one state.

Best of luck @PtFry. Sorry i missed the deadline to speak. The biggest excuse for not doing this ( and it has been going on a century ) is the cost of janitorial...yup...too hard to clean. Is this just a Vancouver problem? Is it only in Vancouver that we cannot solve this issue?
