@WallStreetMav As well as all creative content creators that prefer using an international language for a wider reach. As well as American/British expats. All non-political content creators that use English. But sure nuke the reason Social Media exist, to connect with people all over the world.

Nikita Bier just announced that X ad revenue sharing will be based on your home country or region.
10,000 monetized X accounts in India, Pakistan and Nigeria just lost their entire income.

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

@doganuraldesign Literally what I posted on it as well. Not all content is political content. Nuking virtually all non-American/British creators that prefer English, regardless of type of content, is a super low-IQ move. Not that difficult to filter political content imo. Also hurts their expats

@nikitabier Not all content is political content. To punish essentially all creators that are not American or British, that prefer English as their main language for their content, regardless of what type of content they produce, is just small-minded imo. Also Americans outside the US btw
