A Lexington, Kentucky restaurant owner, Marcos Jesus Banuelos Valdes, was arrested today for sexually assaulting a 17 year old employee. He is charged with 17 counts of third-degree rape and four counts of third-degree sodomy. According to the teen, Valdes sexually assaulted her multiple times between July 2025 and February 2026. The teen kept a journal of the assaults on her phone until she finally told her mother. Valdes is the owner of Papi’s Mexican Restaurant & Bar, according to the Secretary of State website. Papi’s has multiple locations in Lexington. I hope there’s a civil suit coming , as well.
