Most people in the SF tech scene think AI agents will soon render them economically obsolete. The people at the AI labs know they're going to make a bunch of money but also think AI has a good chance of destroying humanity. Only a few people who basically worship AI are happy.

Yep. But this time is different. When ChatGPT came out, everyone in SF was incredibly excited and upbeat. This time almost everyone is either anxious or hopeless.

This might be one of my faves from PV. It’s about 25 miles from where I am standing to the Hollywood sign so I used a 600mm focal length to compress Redondo beach, the sign and the snow capped San Gabriel’s. I’ve tried to re-create this many times with no luck.

@AustinGrandt yea... I changed it back to editor view, but even in that mode whats weird is the "new chat" button is only present while one is already open. there used to be a nice little diamond icon that would just open a chat, I used it constantly.

For months I've been planning a new adventure: circumnavigating the world without flying. I want to set a record for this and last week I heard I need to do it within 60 days.
This is my planned route so far and it'll take me 80+ days at least.
