@GDubAYoutube Yeah they don't like Sonic Team's current direction. I don't think they are asking Sonic Team to make tech demos from now on. That's a pretty bad faith interpretation of their posts. They just want bigger focus on movement and level design that's build around player agency.

I love how everybody kinda fell into what I was talking about 😭 I don't mean "momentum physics and rolling" I literally mean game quality. Like how SO MANY sonic fan games are just a tech demo with a test area, but for some reason nobody cares about anything but physics

@RocketJimmer I like the last Radical Highway stages but all the levels should have prioritized platforming over the QTE-like stuff. That type of level design would have been way more interesting and engaging with Shadow's moveset and physics.

@BasedJoeMama_ There is a good amount of 3D platforming towards the end of the game (Chaos Island Act 1 and Radical Highway Act 2 are my faves).
The boost is actually about the same speed as in Unleashed and Sonic Gens. The only difference is the camera was butchered beyond recognition.

One of Unleashed's fundamentals is so misguided for a platformer (criminally low turning sensitivity) that they had to add a racing game mechanic (drift) and temple run (quickstep) to compensate.
Shadow Gens not executing Unleashed fundamentals is often a feature, not a bug.
