WHAT JUST HAPPENED? Trump posted that the U.S. and Iran held PRODUCTIVE TALKS over the last two days and ordered a 5-day pause on all military strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure. Markets exploded instantly. SPX futures +3.98% Nasdaq +4.17% Bitcoin +5.86% $2.5 trillion added back in just 20 minutes as Oil crashed 14%. Then immediately Iran came out and said the complete opposite. Iran's Foreign Ministry, Fars News, and Mehr News all denied any direct or indirect contact with Washington. Iran says Trump never spoke to them and that he backed down after Iran threatened to target every power plant across West Asia. So right now markets are pricing in a ceasefire that Iran says does not exist.
