I used to be a gamer, professional at that. Gaming got gay, and I mean that literally. It used to be an escape from the woke. We could get on, release our anger & energy by calling each other every slur in the book; no hard feelings - we’re just playing. At some point there was a shift - cat ears, edating, green & purple hair, inclusivity. But that’s where it wrong. See gaming was already inclusive, no matter who you were, no matter the color of your skin, no matter your sexual orientation - YOU WERE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST. It was a warzone where you could let it all out and WE WERE ALL EQUAL. Then they took over… or them. Whatever you want to call ‘em. Equality went out the window. In the process of combatting ‘discrimination’, it became less inclusive. One side was allowed to exist, they were “accepting”. Life is all about narrative. Watch the movie Gamer (2009). Lesson in there.

@SynthPotato People are mad because asking for a completely different game because you don't like the original is gross entitlement. You're not "unable" to play a game with turn based combat, you're unwilling.

Hot take: Larian should add real-time combat to Baldur's Gate 3, Take all the profit from the game and make it an option, I'd pay money for that as a DLC, A huge amount of players including myself who want to get into the game cannot due to turn based They'd prob triple their sales and be able to reach a much wider audience if they added that as an option, BG1 & BG2 weren't turn based
