All the games you listed are extremely immersive, basically the pinnacle of feeling like you physically live in a world for their time. Games can be immersive while being very far from a simulation, its why stuff like Battlefield 1 despite being a casual shooter, is often touted for being an extremely immersive game! You might just have the definition confused ngl because games can be “game-y” and still be immersive

@SynthPotato morrowind is loved for its beautiful art direction, fallout 2 and nv are loved for their writing. none of these games are fully immersive, and they provide timeless experiences to get invested in. it’s about apreciating the game to get invested in it, not to be immersed.

Bit sad the backlash did absolutely nothing to change Sony’s decision on killing discs. This new digital future is going to suck very much, this will hinder customer rights even more and the “Sony tax” on discounted games will never feel like a good deal. Disappointed

The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 are confirmed to be running on the Creation Engine This means they will very likely both still require loading screens when entering Interiors. I think this is one of the biggest weaknesses of Bethesda games, it really does feel outdated…

If the game selling well is your idea of a successful game, you're part of the reason the game industry has been on this slow and steady downturn in terms of quality. The game is broken. Even after a year they haven't patched it. That's a problem. If you want to reward that then you do you but I know better.
