Closing out our walk down memory lane with a new addition to our milestone timeline! As of July 2022, we have officially transferred our assets, including #GiveTrack, to our NGO partner @Heifer Thank you to everyone who has been with us at every step, we appreciate you! 💕

We expanded our global reach in 2020-2021, welcoming several new NGOs including @Heifer @BlackGirlsCODE @GiveDirectly & more. During the pandemic, we led our own campaign, the Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund.

In the peak of #covid19, we hosted our first conference. It was the first global event solely focused on social impact and nonprofit projects around the world in $BTC, #Blockchain, and #cryptocurrency. We were joined by incredible keynote speakers, including @danpallotta

In 2019, we began upgrading GiveTrack. The 2.0 version was equipped w/ UX remodel, @UpholdInc integration for donations in many other #cryptocurrencies, upgraded to @BitGo ’s hosted wallet solution for #NGOs, & added credit/debit & #ApplePay donation options w/ @sendwyre

We launched #GiveTrack 1.0, a more robust & sophisticated version of our previous MVP product, in 2018. It was unveiled at the 6th annual Latin American Bitcoin Conference @labitconf

$BTC reached an all-time high of $20K in December 2017, and we were honored to be recipients of 2 major donations, one from the #PineappleFund & one from another anonymous donor. These donations amounted to over $2M, and we used the funds to grow our tech.

Our flagship product and revolutionary donation platform, #GiveTrack, was launched at the 2017 Money 20/20 conference in Las Vegas, and was the first platform launched for tracking donations on the #BTC #blockchain.

Our first major project was completed in 2015. Funded entirely by #BTC, we built a new water well for the Shishango Girls Secondary School in #Kenya w/ @TheWaterProject. This well serves the students & also their entire community. Click to watch the video! youtube.com/watch?v=ESEI6W…

2014 was a memorable time for us – in August 2014, the IRS granted BitGive 501c3 tax-exempt status, making us the first official government-recognized #Bitcoin #nonprofit!

It's official! We're looking forward to building on what @BitGiveOrg has created to increase transparency and improve donor engagement.

In 2013, we also launched our first big campaign w/ @BTC_BlackFriday. Over 30 charities participated and raised over $1M in 1 day! As part of the initiative, we raised $5k for our first campaign with @SavetheChildren

As we enter a new chapter, we want to take a moment to walk through our most memorable and cherished moments – the first being our launch in 2013 at the Inside Bitcoin conference in NYC. @conniegallippi saw the potential to fuse #bitcoin & #philanthropy, & the rest is history.
