I'm one month away from releasing my next book. Civilization can be viewed as an immense coordination problem across time. The mechanical clock was an innovation that enabled a standardization of agreement on sequence but the cost of that innovation was our base understanding of reality. Time is not what we’ve been told it is. Bitcoin fixes something much bigger than money. It is the foundation for a civilization that forms consensus differently. We are entering the age of time.

Payroll looks like accounting. It’s actually a trust problem. Bitcoin turns trust into math.

When money can be printed, wages are never final. They’re provisional. Bitcoin makes pay conclusive.

Time-based work deserves money that respects time. Not money that decays while you wait.

Employees shouldn’t have to speculate just to preserve the value of their labor. Hard money makes wages boring again. That’s the point.

Inflation changes the value of your paycheck after the work is done. That’s not a market outcome. It’s a rules problem.

The best employee benefits reduce uncertainty. Bitcoin doesn’t promise returns. It promises rules that don’t change.

Inflation is wage theft with better PR.

Why do banks batch wages when the work isn’t batched?

Inflation isn’t a tax on savings. It’s a silent renegotiation of wages—after the work is done. Bitcoin ends that renegotiation.

Payroll is the largest unsecured loan workers give corporations.

If your employer can’t pay you instantly, you’re not being paid—you’re being financed.
