The talk that Japanese developers were better than European is a simplistic generalization. TURRICAN series shows it.🇩🇪 It's all down to the big 3 (time/budget/quality) and Euro developers were out of time/budget compared to Japan, affecting quality. Not in Turrican, though.👍

1991s First Samurai on the Commodore #Amiga made fantastic use of sound. The waterfalls. Approaching fire. The "Hallelujah" on opening treasure chests. A well crafted, scrolling platform beat em up game from Raffaelle Cecco that remains a favourite of mine. #16bit #retrogame
