there are infinite benefits to being rich, but one of my favorite is that you can do everything during off peak hours yesterday i had a busy day, so i only managed to hit the gym at 6:30 - the usual time that employees get off work and go workout. my gym was 5x as crowded as usual, i normally go around 10:30am. i had to wait at a machine while the guy was surfing 9gag inbetween sets i am a particularly impatient but also efficient person when i fly economy class, i have my backpack ready when it’s my turn to walk out and it gives me the ick to see niggaz starting to grab their overhead bag very late making everyone wait a big proportion of my luxurious life revolves around avoiding "involuntarily waste of time". i waste tons of time but i do it on my own terms. i hate it if other people waste my time. that’s why i love being free so that i can run all errands when everyone else is at work - i never drive when people get off work. i am still asleep when they go to work - the average length of my queues in any shop has gone down by 80% since i retired - i try to avoid travelling during regular normie peak holiday seasons. when i was still a wagie, i would most travel in july and august, bc it was the least busy time in finance. it was super hot though and unpleasant. nowadays, i just stay home by the beach during peak summer and travel to warm places in winter there is a study that correlates happiness and the length of your commute. but these theoretical academics are missing the big picture: it’s not about the commute, it’s about wasting time
