@SmokeyTheBera Probably the same amount of glue you'd have to sniff to have this take while also simultaneously advocating for freedom of crypto developers who traveled to north korea to aid them in money laundering in 2018

How much glue do you have to sniff in order to fud Arbitrum for freezing North Korean hacker funds? They reduced knock on effects at the heart of some of the most critical DeFi infra in existence User funds are more important than your performative decentralization platitudes

How it works? 12 people were elected to uphold the Arbitrum constitution. If 9 agree an emergency action is needed, and the tx is safe to execute, we execute it. The internal meeting processes are confidential. All I can say is my own thought process. For me it was a difficult decision.. I was pretty gung ho to freeze the funds... but at first I didn't think it could be done without risking impact to the usage of the chain. But once the technicals were solved around how to do it without potential risk to users. It was a much easier decision. All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

@griffgreen Is this the first time the security council has performed such a freeze? Moving forward will victims in other hacks be able to request a freeze?

@wartranslated Is this... technically a war crime? I mean, its not perfidy... literally, but it is using PoW as... "bait", but not really bait... this is kinda fucked im not gonna lie. Still, they could've avoided being PoWs by staying at home I suppose.

Ukraine's 24th Brigade tested Russia's ceasefire by dressing captured Russian POWs in neutral clothing and sending them out as a fake evacuation group. Russians hit them with FPV drones immediately. Three dead – all their own soldiers.

🚨 THEY ARE MANIPULATING BITCOIN RIGHT NOW AND I HAVE PROOF!!! Bitcoin just pumped to $90,000 but that move was manufactured. Their goal? LIQUIDATE THE SHORTS. Everyone is posting about this pump… but nobody understands what just happened so I’ll show you. You need to check the flows, everything is public. Random whales, Bybit, Binance, Kraken and Wintermute bought $2.5 BILLION worth of Bitcoin in the last few hours. That’s not normal activity and they can’t even hide it anymore, it’s public onchain. Liquidity was extremely low, so it was easy to move the price. You don’t need tens of billions. So what happens? Price gets pushed up hard, very aggressively. Just enough to trigger FOMO, rekt all the shorts, and then liquidate the longs on the way back down. Once enough leverage is trapped, they start dumping MASSIVE amounts of Bitcoin. They’re literally looking for exit liquidity… and WE are that liquidity. For regular people, this would be straight-up illegal. You’d be sent to jail for market manipulation. For them? It’s just a normal Monday at work lol. On another note, I was the only one to call the exact bottom at $16k three years ago and the exact top at $126k in october. If you missed it, don’t worry, I’ll do it again because I want to help people. If you haven’t followed me yet, you’ll regret it.

i can facilitate an OpenAi short for you. We use a Total Return Swap (TRS) to contract you with another party who will trade the performance of OpenAI ($OPEA) shares with you. performance is based on a daily price feed from NPM (Nasdaq Private Markets). please don't chicken out.

Contra @sama, thisparticular loud critic of OpenAI would not buy OpenAI shares. But he sure would love a way to short them.

@0xdoug This is a terrible take. If you think the sandwich bots are thieves -- then were the bros planning to return the money to victims of the thieves? Or is it like someone steals your laptop at the crypto conference but I steal it from them so I'm suddenly allowed to keep it?

This would be a great time for the government to take a look in the mirror and strongly consider a graceful step back from this case. Leave this dispute to the civil courts. This was always a confused case pushed by a previous admin that hated all things crypto and just wanted to win precedents to expand regulatory scope. The crypto mandate of the current DoJ is very different and focused on clear fraud. The case no longer makes sense, and it’s time to let it die. The “victims” were highly sophisticated sandwich mev bots that themselves were stealing millions from ordinary traders. The only reason they lost money to low carb crusader was because they were outsmarted, and in their own greed risked more money than they could afford to lose. The exploit was only possible because they were literally trying to steal from what they thought was a retail trader. Two out of three of the “victims” wouldn’t even enter the United States to testify because they were worried about their own legal risk. The third, David Yakira, played a man’s game and paid a man’s price. But when outplayed, had the audacity to cry to the police, after years of outright defrauding hundreds of millions from retail traders. Taxpayers have already wasted far too much money on this trials attempt to protect extractive sandwich bots. The convictions if anything would harm ordinary retail crypto traders. None of this aligns with the current administrations crypto policy objectives. We have a perfectly fine civil system if the private parties want to litigate on their own dime.

Oh, definitely - I'm live tweeting the cross of Miller by James Peraire-Bueno's lawyer right now : ) Actually, I'm looking to do a book about this case, as did about SBF and Do Kwon (who pled guilty and didn't, in fact, go to trial) amazon.com/Crypto-Death-S…
