Somethings happening out there…. Slowly but surely we’re taking the grind up to a January 14th 2027 target of 300 businesses joining the UK Bitcoin Business Network. We’re close to 25% of this target in the first 4 weeks. Given the surprising size of UK businesses interested in Bitcoin as a balance sheet asset, as well as a payment option where beneficial, i could well imagine that the network represents businesses that employ around 10,000 people by the above date given current stats. Maybe we are completely underestimating the sheer scale of the small and mid sized businesses network in the UK currently standing at circa 5.8 million businesses. Maybe we will dwarf those numbers? Time will tell. I feel we’ve got something for all businesses. The curious - Easily digestible learning materials being added to all the time. The sociable - quarterly networking events and maybe more regular ones within specific sectors yet to be announced. The very busy - short form content and monthly briefs keeping those business owners informed on market conditions and what’s going on with a definite UK slant. The ones needing help - Unsure the best option of adding to your balance sheet and how to do it? Like the idea of accepting payments but don’t know where to start? The rural ones - especially involved in hospitality and maybe already accepting payments but not able to make events which being honest are London dominated at the moment - Were working on it.. i can promise that. The small one person business. We’re working on this also. In short businesses that see the long term value of building relationships within a forward thinking network , spanning multiple business sectors and possibly with a more positive outlook than most in the UK. Businesses from all walks of life are starting to network with each other with all kinds of products and services. People very simply like doing business, where possible, with people sharing similar interests and values. I’m a strong believer that Bitcoin is simply ‘money’ and something that hopefully one day both regulators, the tax authorities and a political party in power will agree on. I don’t create a taxable event buying euros, US Dollars of Japanese Yen. Why not Bitcoin one day? On that note. If you are currently renovating a property and in the market for some shutters then we’ve even got that covered. Bitcoin is for all profitable businesses, irrespective of the sector of business you’re involved with.

Great first week working on the UK Bitcoin Business Network powered by @BitcoinColl Some points of interest: More members joining daily and given there are 6 million sme’s in the UK there is a long road of education ahead and a vast opportunity. Discussions with a 49 site retail business in the UK regarding accepting of payments. Date set for a presentation to another business networking group with over 100 members. Introductions made to the largest business groups within the UK and the responses have been ultra positive. Invitation to network at a large sports event in February with many professional teams in attendance as well as this particular sports governing body. Introductions of members whose products and services could be beneficial to each other. Dialogue with 3 potential member businesses on showing them how to allocate btc to their company balance sheet through e-money accounts from any UK business bank account. We do underestimate how powerful actually showing someone how to do something is as opposed to telling them. Video on this soon for members. Many ideas and discussions around developing Bitcoin products over the long term that will be of benefit to businesses. There is a lot of doom and gloom in the UK but there are many businesses still thriving and with long term capital and profits that are seeking a better home than 0% to 2% interest rates with very often 90 to 180 day notice periods for enhanced rates of interest.
