@philthatremains Hmm, how about simple anti-provoking laws where if you relentlessly attempt to provoke someone they can punch you in the face.

How about instead of inventing new crap we don’t need, we just improve the inventions we already have? I know, wacky idea.

@mysteriouskat I would love the ability to be able to delete some things like a file on a hard drive. It gets overused now adays but there are some things I'd really like to unsee.

@RealSwaggyT @SaraGonzalesTX What a coincidence. The time stamp on reading the message just happens to be the same time shown at the top of his phone. And you can also see that she is actively typing at the same time.

@JenniferSey @MattWalshBlog Yes, nobody is saying what specifically changed. My guess is that its one of two options: They always intended to back out to make the admin look bad, or the threats from the side of love amd tolerance got too overwhelming. Probably the latter.

100% agree. And … who are they kidding with the exact same statement. It’s a celebration of America’s 250th (any celebration of this country is “right coded”) and they know it’s a Republican administration throwing the bash. “We thought it wasn’t gonna be political” is a bunch of bullshit.

@karenbutts5535 @Variety Yes, what specifically changed from the original agreement you had? Nobody is saying what it is. The statement regarding safety is about all we have, and people are going to assume that's the main motivator.

@Variety There is something fishy about this whole thing. Everyone originally agreed to this and now all of a sudden something “changed” but they won’t say what. Sounds like some manufactured drama to me 🙄

Bret Michaels is the fifth artist to pull out of the Trump-backed "Freedom 250" concerts in D.C. “Unfortunately, what was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I agreed to be a part of. Concerns have also been raised regarding the safety of my fans, band, crew, family and myself, including threats that are completely unfounded and unforgivable. Because of that, I have made the difficult decision to step away from this performance.” variety.com/2026/music/new…

@DataRepublican @reddit_lies Lots of terrible ideas and policies have been enacted by decent people. Discernable Policy Outcomes should be the metric. Long after the nice guy or the perk is gone, the policy will still remain.

🚨 VIDEO: Texas state Rep. James Talarico opened a legislative session with a heretic prayer, invoked old Communist-adjacent phrase h/t @reddit_lies who spotted it on Reddit; I tracked down the original video. The prayer addresses God as "holy mystery" with "so many names" — Torah, Quran, Gita, Dharma — treating all religious traditions as equally valid expressions of the same God. Jesus is described as "a barefoot rabbi" who "expressed" God's love... one expression among many implied. The closing line: "build a new world in the shell of the old." That phrase has a specific origin. It comes from the IWW (Industrial Workers of the World) Preamble, written in 1905. It's syndicalist labor movement language. Not explicitly Communist - but they wanted to abolish capitalism and the state all the same. See it for yourself:

@RobOn1100 @gehrig38 To use campaign money in commiting a crime(or tryinf to conceal one). The judge told them they didn't have to agree on what the underlying crime was. Which is why you cant enumerate what the underlying crime was.

@RobOn1100 @gehrig38 My point was that there is no underlying crime to get it to a felony charge. It's bogus. And as a misdemeanor the statute of limitations expired on so they had to come up with something to even allow the trial in the 1st place.

@RobOn1100 @gehrig38 What was the underlying felony? Falsification of business records is a misdemeanor unless there is an underlying felony, then it can be upgraded.

Abby didn't say it wasn't hateful to notice someone's sin, or bash them over the head for their sin. Look to Jesus' example. Jesus did not condemn the woman caught in adultery, he did however tell her to leave her life of sin. We don't have to approve of the adultery that adulterers do. Thats would be affirming their sin. Side note about judgement. If Jesus told us not to judge, how are we supposed to be able to know when someone is a false teacher that the Bible warns about?

@AbbyJohnson It absolutely is. We all sin. No sin is greater than or less than another. You sin every day. Your posts here prove it. Christ taught us to love all God’s children. He told us not to judge. Yet here you are. You break countless Biblical rules daily.

When I ran for Congress 8 years ago – it was because I knew that God had given me more time on this earth after beating cancer to serve our nation and to make America freer and stronger.  Over four terms, I have unapologetically fought to do that – letting the Constitution and the principles of limited government it reflects be my guide.  I am proud of my record – imperfect of course – but rooted in my belief in God and in a nation that exists to preserve the rights of man against Marxism, Islamism, and the oppression of tyranny… even the ever-increasing tyranny of our own government at home. I have fought hard and without fear  – trying to follow the law and do things the right way.  It matters that leaders stand up and say what needs to be said no matter the consequences – or we stand to lose it all in the pursuit of political expediency. In my campaign for Attorney General of Texas, I wanted to fight for Texans as their lawyer on the critical fights of our day: that Texas is not free enough, not secure enough, not strong enough, not Godly enough – and too often… is being sold to the highest bidder.  I tried to run a campaign worthy of this great state in which my family has lived since 1853.  I tried to be tough but honest.  I tried to earn the support of the voters of Texas, not to buy it… and I tried to tell the people the truth, not lies. I am proud of my campaign.  And I am proud of and humbled by the support from so many Texans – volunteers, donors, colleagues, friends, family, and people from all walks of life.  In the words of the Apostle Paul, “[we] fought the good fight, [we] finished the race, [we] kept the faith.” it was not our time. But this is all God’s time.  And we are all just living within it. We have a state and a nation to save.  Onward.

@Tyler43284809 @TheLaurenChen The "lying eyes" cant see the effects of the fentanyl on Floyd. That was the major factor in his death. Chauvin used a standard police hold from what I recall.
