BOSA Deputy Leader @nobuntusa was a speaker at the African Leadership Academy Model AU (ALAMAU) Conference - engaging with young leaders from across the continent on the future of Africa. Her message was clear: This is a generational moment, and it demands a generational mandate. Across Africa, young people are not short of ideas or ambition. What has been missing is power, coordination, and systems that work. She challenged young Africans to: Define their generation’s mission, organise round it, collaborate, cross African states. At the same time, she reflected on the responsibility of the generation of incoming leadership: to reform broken systems, to build capable, delivery-focused institutions and to usher in a new generation of leadership #BuildOneSA

This morning Unite for Change leaders stood in Sharpeville, at Phelindaba Cemetry, in remembrance of the lives lost in 1960-men and women who stood peacefully for their rights and paid the ultimate price. 4.Diplomatic urgency and US ambassador appointment. The continued absence of a South African ambassador to the United States - now over a year - undermines trade and investment. The President must urgently appoint a qualified ambassador to safeguard and advance South Africa’s economic and strategic interests.

3.Reject fuel levy increases to protect households. Parliament must reject the proposed 21c Fuel Levy increase, as it will compound already rising fuel prices driven by global oil spikes and a weakening Rand, ultimately increasing transport and food costs and placing further strain on already burdened households.

2.Urgent protection and repatriation of South Africans abroad. Government must prioritise the safety of South Africans in the Middle East by implementing credible evacuation plans, strengthening consular support, and ensuring clear communication to facilitate the safe return of citizens.

1.Non-alignment and principled foreign policy. South Africa must remain sovereign and independent in its global posture - neither aligning with East nor West - but standing firmly on trade interests for the economy, and human rights.
