Our generation must now fight for equity. Because many South Africans today are in the workplace but face a system that reproduces disadvantage. I’m proud to announce that the Fair Pay Bill, which I am sponsoring in Parliament in partnership with Pay Me Fairly, has officially been gazetted for public comment. - No obligation forpayslips at hiring stage - Salary ranges upfront - Equal pay for equal work. This is how we mark Workers’ Day. What makes this Bill so meaningful to me is that it originates from the people. A champion Phathuxolo Maqavana, who because of his own experience, made it his life’s work to challenge unfair pay practices. After more than two years of pushing, a breakthrough‼️‼️ In response to a written question I submitted, the Minister of Justice has confirmed a draft bill is being developed to make the National Register for Sex Offenders public. Progress!! Over 30,000 convicted offenders live among us. Women, parents, schools and employers have a right to know before they are in their space, to say no, to prevent repeat offence. We keep pushing - until it is law, we keep pushing.

I’ve always maintained that South Africa’s economy rests on the shoulders of its professionals and entrepreneurs, those who build and keep us moving. Privileged, to again and again be afforded the platform to engage them on purpose, leadership and building institutions for the Africa we dream of.
