@Bull_LFG@jet2tweets Not sure if this helps but the airlines get about 23% of fuel from Hormuz (apparently). So whilst there shouldn't be mass cancellations ala C19, what they are doing is combining flights where poss. Thats why a lot of people are seeing flight times shift by a few hours either way
Hey @jet2tweets you guys aren’t planning on last minute flight cancellations due to potential jet fuel shortages are you? Family holiday booked in May FYI
@Bull_LFG@jet2tweets Probably going with Fuel surcharge, can be 6% of Holiday. It’s above lawful. Airlines don’t buy fuel, that’s a myth. Airports buy fuel so your destination is really important.
@Bull_LFG@jet2tweets Is it next month you go too? I know the shortages are not down to the airline, but EasyJet and Ryanair have admitted that there may be flight cancellations.
Bank of America has issued a massive upward revision to the global semiconductor outlook, forecasting the market to hit $1.3 trillion by 2026 and $2 trillion by 2030.
This 20% CAGR projection more than doubles the industry’s historical growth rate, driven by a structural shift toward "leading logic intensity" in AI data centers.
HERE IS THE SUPPLY CHAIN TIMESTREAM:
1. Cadence $CDNS & Synopsys $SNPS
Role: Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software giants.
Catalyst: Providing the intricate, complex logic required for next-gen AI chip designs as "logic intensity" ramps up.
2. Applied Materials $AMAT & Lam Research $LRCX
Role: Critical manufacturers of wafer fabrication equipment and specialized tools.
Catalyst: Serving as the essential "picks and shovels" for the manufacturing ramp-up of more complex, leading-edge chips.
3. Nvidia $NVDA
Role: Primary provider of AI training and inference GPUs.
Catalyst: Dominating a compute/storage segment projected to jump 43% YoY.
4. Broadcom $AVGO
Role: Leader in custom AI accelerators and high-speed networking silicon.
Catalyst: Capturing the surge in data center interconnect demand as clusters scale.
5. AMD $AMD & Marvell $MRVL
Role: Providers of high-performance server CPUs, custom silicon, and electro-optics.
Catalyst: Scaling specialized hardware to meet the diversification needs of global hyperscalers.
6. Microsoft $MSFT & Google $GOOGL
Role: Global cloud giants and primary purchasers of high-end semiconductor hardware.
Catalyst: Driving the market through massive private programs like Stargate and sovereign AI initiatives.
Investment Outlook:
The bull case depends on cloud capex exceeding $1T, significantly above the $872B consensus.
While AI Compute is surging (+43% YoY), caution is warranted in Wireless (-9% YoY) as Qualcomm $QCOM and Skyworks $SWKS face a "consumer drag" that could last through 2027.
