Even if one accepts video games as art you guys can't apply the same principles as say, films, that you would to video games. A good game released in the 90s can have mechanics or controls that are inferior to what we have now.

Things "aging poorly" isn't a thing. If something was great at release then it remains exactly as great no matter how much time passes. You've have to cut all these anti art concepts out of your head.

@TheBoCoStan Most correct but I'd argue in principal a console should be able to stand on its own i.e have both good 1st and 3rd party games. And "lack of third party games" legitimately was a huge criticism of Nintendo that people had going back even to the N64 days.

I hate to rail against one of my childhood authors but I dislike how Seuss, who was a Christian and had no issue with his works having political messaging, recoiled at pro-lifers using one of his books for a noble cause.
