We have no sidewalks in my neighborhood, so every year I go out on the first day of school and tell the kids they can stand on my lawn or in my driveway while they wait for the bus.

@BenWilkins86 @TheWapplehouse Yep. We live across the street from a school too so she sits out front sometimes to make sure kids aren’t walking on the grass. Once she filled the swale with her dogs shit so kids would stop walking on it. Genuinely insane stuff going on here.

Neighbors got their tree trimmed yesterday (because my parents don’t like the tree hanging over the fence line) and the guy dropped a big branch on our side of the fence and knocked on the door to go get it. I let him back there to grab it and my mom starts blowing me up w texts

When we were shopping for minivans last February, a used Toyota Siena was ~$4k less than a new one.
In disbelief, I asked the salesman why wouldn't we just buy a new one. He said that's what he'd do, but it was our call.
We bought a brand new one. Had 3.1 miles on the odometer.

Why do people still buy new cars? That $50,000 car you just paid off cost you $63,000 in total payments. Plus, it is now only worth $20,000 so it's lost $43,000 in depreciation....in 5 years. Buy used. Come on people....stop throwing your money away.
