The energy industry still suffers from having too many silos — a problem that is very real when it comes to connecting surface and subsurface teams. There is technology (and it’s not new) that can be used to unsilo the teams, but the problem is it’s not being used as widely as it should. We’re talking about Integrated Production System Modelling (IPSM) which can help to seamlessly connect surface and subsurface teams, enabling a more holistic view of a project from end-to-end. And perhaps most importantly, IPSM (also called Integrated Asset Modelling or Management (IAM) or Integrated Production Modelling (IPM)) provides one, single source of data which all teams have access to, and can use. I believe consistent atomic changes drive mega results. And I’m proud of the team at Computer Modelling Group for remaining committed to this mentality and our strategy as we report our third-quarter earnings today. This quarter, it’s important to note we made changes to our financial reporting to reflect our evolving business strategy and present the first full quarter of performance from Bluware. We are now reporting two operating segments: Computer Modelling Group (CMG), which has a 40+ year history in simulation, and now Bluware (BHV), which we recently acquired. This allows our stakeholders to understand the performance of our existing CMG business and our acquisitions independently. It mirrors how I think about the business and evaluate the progress of our CMG strategy. CMG Group (both CMG and Bluware) third-quarter revenue increased by 70% year over year, and we generated strong Free Cash Flow of $7.7M. We continue to see the importance of energy transition in the market, with 22% of software revenue from this stream. Our goal remains to foster long-term, sustained, and durable growth. Our journey to date has been significant, and there’s much more ahead. As part of the 2023 Fall Economic Statement, the Government of Canada reaffirmed it will finance clean economy investment tax credits for carbon capture, utilization, and storage, following through on previously announced subsidies. This comes on the heels of conversations by global energy leaders who gathered in London earlier this month for the Financial Times Energy Transition Summit where incentives and #CCS were discussed as one of the key elements in accelerating energy transition in support of global net zero goals.
