Regardless if he's telling the truth or not, thia is unacceptable behavior from a president. Completely oblivious if true. Completely arrogant if not.

@CampbellPresVI recognized @campbelledu is bigger than a one and done basketball coach. Dr. Downs is doing what is best for the institution. He is stopping it from committing suicide via the athletic department’s poor strategy. Next stop…get out of revenue sharing!

@Crb_734 @CampbellPresVI @campbelledu It’s is. The athletic department was living in a fantasy land. They destroyed some of our best sports to invest heavily in something we cannot compete in due to the current NCAA environment. @CampbellPresVI is looking at long term viability for the institution.

Here is the thing. @campbelledu is one of the smallest D1 schools and has had years of declining enrollment. Chasing basketball and football is a lost cause bc every school is trying to compete in that marketplace. We should have never cut the sports we were good at.
