Cancer care does not fail only in the lab. It fails in the waiting time between “diagnosed” and “treated.”

बिहार के नए स्वास्थ्य मंत्री निशांत कुमार के सामने चुनौतियां कम नहीं हैं। 1. बिहार के कई गंभीर मरीज इलाज के लिए दिल्ली, कोलकाता, बनारस, रांची और लखनऊ पर निर्भर रहते हैं। 2. कई वरिष्ठ अधिकारी और प्रभावशाली लोग खुद बिहार के सरकारी अस्पतालों में इलाज करवाने से बचते हैं। 3. जिले के मरीजों को छोटी बीमारी से लेकर गंभीर इलाज तक के लिए पटना जाना पड़ता है। 4. PMCH और AIIMS Patna जैसे बड़े अस्पतालों में बेड और भर्ती के लिए पैरवी की शिकायतें अक्सर सामने आती हैं। 5. कई अस्पतालों में डॉक्टरों की कमी के कारण मरीजों को घंटों लाइन में इंतजार करना पड़ता है। 6. मरीजों और उनके परिजनों के साथ दुर्व्यवहार, मारपीट और बदसलूकी की घटनाएं समय-समय पर चर्चा में रहती हैं। 7. कई जिला अस्पतालों में ICU, वेंटिलेटर और विशेषज्ञ डॉक्टरों की पर्याप्त सुविधा नहीं है। 8. गंभीर हालत वाले मरीजों को अक्सर पटना या दूसरे राज्यों के अस्पताल रेफर कर दिया जाता है। 9. सरकारी अस्पतालों में जांच रिपोर्ट और ऑपरेशन के लिए लंबी तारीख मिलना आम समस्या है। 10. गांव और छोटे शहरों में आज भी बेहतर स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था लोगों के लिए बड़ी चुनौती बनी हुई है।

@narendramodi ji, @JPNadda ji, and AIIMS New Delhi — when will this system change? Medical aspirant pays around ₹4000 in exam fees, then has to struggle for 3–4 hours just to download an admit card because the website crashes with “502 Bad Gateway” #INICET

@aiims_newdelhi must be having a huge IT budget, but can't maintain a basic website. The site is down since afternoon on the eve of release of admit card. Where is all the money getting deployed? Who bears the responsibility of wasting thousands of hours of candidates? @MoHFW_INDIA

The manager politely offered me the option to join another movie midway, but I said I was fine either way and wasn’t interested in switching. To my surprise, they still screened the entire movie just for one audience member. Rare to see such professionalism and customer-centricity these days, especially in #Patna . @GoI_MeitY should take cognizance of the fact that despite so much advancement in technology why our public institutions have such shitty websites/interfaces; the Income tax portal glitch last year, The AIIMS INI CET application portal this year...the list goes on

@aiims_newdelhi What a frustrating website for the INICET application, especially after charging ₹4000 per application. It feels like something straight out of the medieval era, both in design and speed.
