In personal news: My father passed away last week. He left his mark on culture, as detailed by @BenoitPeeters below. But equally important was his impact on his loved ones. We knew him as kind, caring, generous, and engaging, full of wit and humor until the end. We will miss him.

@AshleyGWinter @ISSWSH Pack storage bags, sharpie, cleaning supplies (bottle brush, dish soap, dish towel, Tupperware container), cooler and ice packs, cord free travel pump, spare hand pump as backup. Arrange for freezer access if longer than a few days.

I am traveling to a conference next week (yay @isswsh!) without the baby & need to pump- please share your best tips for air travel & hotel stay while pumping. Thanks in advance!

@McMurraylab @Quartzy Oh no, when is this supposed to start? First I’ve heard of it, and there’s no way we can justify that cost (especially for only 5 users!). So disappointing. Anyone have suggestions for alternative platforms?

Just got the email from @Quartzy that we will have to pay $159/month for the database functions that have been free for the last 10+ years. I still have the email from Jan 2016 that reads: “What the future holds: Quartzy is and always will be free for scientists” 🙈🤬😭

@NinaSteele17 @Momademia Consider bringing a hand pump as an emergency backup in case your electric pump suddenly stops working. And special wipes for cleaning breast pump parts in case you get stuck without access to soap/water for longer than expected.

Have to be away fr Bebe for 24 hrs, need to bring: Pump, sterilizing bag, soap, sponge/brush, milk storage container, freezer bag, large ice packs, extra ziplock bags for supplies, pumping bras, pumping snacks, electric charging pump…. Did I miss anything @Momademia ??
