Speaking of my F2P #StarTrekOnline account, it's going *fine*. For a "Complete Borg TFO" Endeavor, I signed up for a public queue ISA. Nearly 82k rivals how I normally do on my main account...in less than 3 years. So yeah, F2P players can do *quite* well over time. :)

Also, I want to try for this to be as passive as possible with little ability management required. (3/3)

@jeff_gluck I think the modern NASCAR fan wants rubber-banding style racing, and if I understand what's going on in F1 correctly, that's just...not going to be the answer. We may be in a paradigm where what the drivers want is not what the fans want is not what NASCAR will want.

@GEARSRacing With the Charter system, I don't see any type of Chase/Playoff format not including nearly/right on half the chartered teams. 36 teams / 2 = 18 teams Current Chase cut-off = 16 teams 16 still puts it at just under half, so can't "just" be among the top half of teams & make it.

Now just get rid of the participation trophies and make it 10 drivers. Positions 11-16 don’t mean anything based on the points gap, so sponsors need to start realizing that just making the Chase isn’t going to move the needle and NASCAR needs to stop selling that.
