@nimishdubey I was there when my daughter closed her little eyes for the last time and took her final breath. I very nearly missed the moment. It almost felt like she was waiting for me. I’ll be forever grateful that she did.

I was chatting with a vet, and he said the hardest part of his job is putting down a dog - the act is not hard per se, but because the dog’s eyes constantly search for the family. Most people can’t watch, so they leave the room. But he says people should stay, hold the dog’s paw, or kiss its head, because the last thing dogs want to see before leaving the world is the face of the person they love most. These beings love us selfish humans unconditionally. We don't deserve them 🥹😭
