Debra - sorry if my post was offensive. Actually DJT is down to about 30% approval right now. He has either totally abdicated on most of his campaign promises, or just plain failed to produce results. What I meant by that is that I’m pretty sure everyone in his cabinet has a pretty negative opinion. Just look at the video of what Marco, Lindsey, JD, Hegseth all said in 2015. They all hated him then. Thing is, just like Obama with his audacity of hope, if you are not a truly exceptional leader, all the promises, Good intentions, and rhetoric in the world won’t make for a good outcome as President. In a way DJT and BHO are much alike in that respect. Lots of talk - unable to deliver.

Well, my statement was a bit metaphorical. Obviously some people like him. But OK, tell me this as a true blue Trump supporter; how do you square the “no wars” part of his campaign, the I’ll end Ukraine on day one, the cost of living will drop, etc. with what he has actually done? I too thought some of his ideas had value in 2015. But I was disappointed in how he conducted his term. I find it hard to understand why true believers like you don’t feel the same.

I know (not sure he is still on the planet) a guy who worked at Morton Thiokol during the time when they were making the shuttle boosters. He said the challenger tragedy was “murder”. He said the engineers at MT advised with no uncertainty that the boosters would explode due to O ring failure at low ambient temperatures. By the time this message worked its way through NASA/military/gov PR; it was only a mild recommendation to not launch.
