Roads turned bad, quickly, Chaska. Several of our main roads, including highways 41 & 212, are completely covered with ice due to the freezing rain this morning. Our patrol staff are currently working 7 different vehicle crashes. Slow down. Give yourself extra distance to stop.

(2/2) The pursuit entered into Chaska and ended after EPPD conducted a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) near the intersection of Audubon Rd. and Stoughton Ave. The driver of the stolen vehicle was arrested by EPPD. No one was injured. We assisted EPPD at the crash scene.

(1/2) This morning (2/21/26) around 7:50am, you may have noticed a large police presence off of Audubon Rd. A stolen vehicle out of Edina was located in Eden Prairie and fled from the Eden Prairie Police Department (EPPD).

This morning (02/03/2026) around 10:15, CPD officers along with several other local law enforcement agencies conducted a court authorized search warrant in the area of the Riverview Terrace Mobile Home Park. This was not related to federal immigration enforcement.

The overnight forecast update has increased snow amounts which has led to an expansion of the Winter Storm Warning across the area. Rain transitions to snow this evening with hazardous to impossible travel overnight due to reduced visibility and blowing snow. #mnwx #wiwx
