Here is a glimpse into some of the things that kept us busy in May. CPD officers responded to 1,571 calls for service - that's about 51 per day. As always, we appreciate our neighbors who contribute to helping our community stay safe.

@CarverSheriff Our hearts are with the individual’s family, friends, and all those affected by this incident. Winkel Park will return to normal operation once emergency personnel have cleared. We are grateful to the many agencies and responders who assisted in the search and recovery efforts.

Police and Fire personnel on the scene of a water emergency near Winkel Park off of 1st St West in Chaska. Multiple agencies are assisting. There is no threat to public safety. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

Roads turned bad, quickly, Chaska. Several of our main roads, including highways 41 & 212, are completely covered with ice due to the freezing rain this morning. Our patrol staff are currently working 7 different vehicle crashes. Slow down. Give yourself extra distance to stop.

(2/2) The pursuit entered into Chaska and ended after EPPD conducted a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) near the intersection of Audubon Rd. and Stoughton Ave. The driver of the stolen vehicle was arrested by EPPD. No one was injured. We assisted EPPD at the crash scene.

(1/2) This morning (2/21/26) around 7:50am, you may have noticed a large police presence off of Audubon Rd. A stolen vehicle out of Edina was located in Eden Prairie and fled from the Eden Prairie Police Department (EPPD).

This morning (02/03/2026) around 10:15, CPD officers along with several other local law enforcement agencies conducted a court authorized search warrant in the area of the Riverview Terrace Mobile Home Park. This was not related to federal immigration enforcement.
