Ever since I started baking regularly, I am constantly astounded by the cocoa powder price.

We didn’t have cable & my dad had a huge collection of books. I remember this 1 book about a horse. Whenever I read it, I could pretend I was a girl living on a farm with a black horse. That was when I learnt that I could be anyone/anywhere I wanted to be in the middle of a book.

@luchi7 This is very parasocial of me 😅 but I follow her content and I think that while there’s a bit of a ploy for engagement (as with most influencers), this might mostly be a case of being young (22), suddenly making a significant amount of money and bad financial decision making.

Whereas I believe in mentorship and all that kind of support, there’s a very sinister (misogynistic) way to how society treats older women who don’t want to play the motherly mentorship role for younger women. It’s almost like older women owe people their time, emotions & space.
