Just one job done today, but one that really makes a difference. We got the cladding done on the gable end.

In between rain, we've finished the canopy, with the central ridge profiles. No more drips!

And we made a start on sorting through all the assorted tools and fixings we have, to organise them, and dispose of unwanted stuff.

Some legs were added to the long handrail at the front of the forecourt. And the planters we built are looking good, planted up with heathers.

@recycledrobotix @SueArcher6 I had a look at the exploded drawing of the saw. There should be a large washer on each side of the blade. They clamp the blade flat onto the motor shaft. Can you get a close up photo of that? I am looking to see if the washers have seated properly.

@CleavleyWorks @SueArcher6 It’s called an Einhell Tc-Ts 200. It’s a smallish portable table saw. There is a little bit of play in the arbor, if I’ve understood correctly which bit is the arbor (basically, the back piece which holds the blade in place on the motor shaft)

#MakerHelp requested: the blade is touching the blade guard on my new table saw; obviously can’t use it safely until resolved but I cannot find anything to change (apart from cut at a significant angle always) and the instruction don’t help. Any suggestions?!

@recycledrobotix @SueArcher6 Maker_of_Things here, again. Ahh, that doesn't look good. What make and model is it. I will see if there is a manual or advice on it. It shouldn't be like that, and I can't see how that has happened. I'm going to use this account to save Sue handing me her laptop.

@SueArcher6 Update: cannot move the table relative the blade. The actual bit that hold the blade (collet?) is WAY too far across and I cannot make it move much. I tried, and managed slightly but then it was wonky. Here’s a video of me rotating it by hand - I don’t *think* the blade is bent…

Terry decided it was time for a comparison picture of our nearly finished building, and the model we made for the funding bid!

A lovely day on site today. Some of the group worked on the removable handrail at the front of the deck. We want it removable to allow the space to be opened up if it's being used for performance.

This week was much like last week, with most of the team getting on with making planters, and putting bases into them.

Meanwhile we also got a lot of the last set of purlins in, joining the first truss to the building. There is a bit more board to go up to close the last gap in the front. Once all the purlins are in, the last sheets can go on.

We had a good session yesterday. Most of the group go on with mass producing some little planters to go around the edge of the forecourt. They are made from leftover offcuts of the purlin timber, and there will be two between each pair of posts. Just need bases and lining.

Two of us snuck back after lunch, and completed the roof sheets as far as we can. There are purlins still to go in, before we can join the canopy to the main roof.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group installed a handrail around the forecourt.

Roofing has progressed during the week thanks to @IncrEdibleEdu, so we carried on with the other half this morning. Despite the drizzle.

Meanwhile, how many woodworkers doors it take to cut a beam? (this was cutting more of the cross braces, all of which are in place now).

We made a start on getting roof sheets up yesterday. We got 3 up, and it should get faster now.

Apologies for the lack of recent updates, but here we are now. The roof trusses are installed. Today some of us started the diagonal braces on the ring beam, and others did more work on the last gap at the front. The next big job is the canopy roof sheets....
