For tweakers: I’ve think I found out why Controller strafes feel sluggish. It has to do with the input dist. needed to trigger max strafe spd. I frame-counted the time to decel, swap direction, & accel back to max. The tweak saved approx ~35ms. Results + explanation below:👇

@Vozskii I think initially, until you get used to it. I’ve been doing it for a day, and I have fully adjusted now

@CoachCADwarrior could this potentially make you like fall off ledges when trying to use smaller stick movements?

@SankaHJapex I haven’t felt that tbh. I think it takes some getting used to because of how fast the input feels, but I used to play mnk so I think I adjusted really quickly.

@CoachCADwarrior Oui c'est pour ça. J'avais essayé de jouer comme ça quelques jours quand je faisais encore de la comp mais le problème que j'ai rencontré c'est que comme le recul est aussi fait avec le joystick gauche, ça vient "perturber" la capacité à gérer le recul du fait de la différence

@itsZDavis Ya, once I did it, I immediately felt the difference. It is a huge buff to movement and even helps your aim when mirror strafing.

How it works: By lowering your Left Stick Outer Threshold, you shrink the "outer ring" of your stick’s deadzone. Normally, you have to push the stick 80% of the way to the edge to hit max speed. At a 50% threshold, you hit that "max speed wall" much sooner.

Here is the raw timing for a full directional swap (Avg): MnK (Instant Keypress): ~0.25s Controller (Default Threshold): ~0.29s Controller (50% Outer Threshold): ~0.26s By adjusting this one setting, I nearly eliminated the "input lag" inherent to my joystick.
