The Irish Rugby Football Union and @UL released the 5th year findings from the Irish Rugby Injury Surveillance (IRIS) project, highlighting injury trends in the Men’s and Women’s All-Ireland League during the 2022/23 season. IRIS has extended its collaboration to 2030, expanded internationally, and pioneered studies in women's rugby injury trends. @stevemagness What % of population have had theirs estimated by a field test or indirect cal in a lab, and then how mamy of those ever a 2nd assessment in either?

Hot take: Vo2max is overused. Most people shouldn't measure or focus on. And most shouldn't aim for improving it. It will improve with good training in novices. And for advanced, it's not a worthwhile measure to chase. Focus on improving performance, not parameters.
