There's an argument for all of them in some way. Sklansky readers/understanders of TOP have a huge edge but the massive influx of recs owes to CM. We don't have 70-100+ runners all week at Hollywood today without him. Doyle is Negreanu before Negreanu, a huge influence on the semi-serious players of their times.

Over a number of years it seems like we've made a lose/lose trade in basketball:
Bad ball handling (carrying, "gathers" i.e. traveling, shuffled feet by posts) in exchange for more paint/rim and general illegal collision-type contact being ignored.
It's like hey, you can play And 1 style until we obliterate you with excessive contact that often won't get whistled. Need a reset, not good for the long term health of players or the game.

@Choppodong1 @secnumbersguy Both portal and "NIL" killed them - the money is 1,000% an obvious factor, so much more money at the top.
English

@secnumbersguy Tyus Edny killed Mizzou like NIL is killing mid-majors.
They’ll never make a Final Four (not that this year was a real shot.)
English

@CalTobiasPhoto It's a long distance contest, and it reduces the shooting percentage a couple points on average. Better than doing nothing, which would have at least kept you from trying to dunk on him for this and fail, lots of other material though I guess.

@Choppodong1 Gotta get up to play some Makers, but was calling games tonight at the state 🏀 Final Four. Hoops done soon so you know what season it will be then! ♦️♥️♠️♣️

I’m a cash guy, right?
Let’s find out how I played my first casino tourney in five years…
Look 👀, tourney formats dictate different things. And this K-Maker rewards patience. It fits my cash style AND I used to play massive volume double ups online. I should be ok here…
Well, I wasn’t.
I overplayed JJ early and wrecked myself vs trip 9s when I had an overpair with jacks.
It happens. We don’t panic. But we are on life support in level two already.
We need to go on a run. Level two…nothing. Level three…nothing. Level four…we hit a mini run.
I’m 4k and blinds are 400/800, about to go to 500/1000. This sucks.
But a guy can’t play 62, 94, 83, and the wad of crap I’ve been dealt for 90 min.
I’m waiting for the BTN to pass and hopefully, I get to jam something with any potential after the blinds pass.
UTG limps, another limps, another limps, and….
Fuck me. I’m sb and see KQhh. I jam 4k. Thankfully, UTG reraises 16k and folds the others. We win HU vs JJ when the Q turns.
We are CO and steal blinds. Now 12kish and blinds go 500/1000.
A passive limper limps LJ, we iso 3000 with JTo and get HU ip. J flops, she checks, we bet small, she folds.
Momentum building. We raise 2500 w AK and a loose player 3bets us oop. We jam 15k and he calls. AK > AQ and we sit on 33k.
Then, the critical hand…
We aren’t safe for the flat pay structure, but we can be selective.
How would you play this? (Comment ⤵️)
New guy has been raising light a few hands and picking on the passive lady. He’s too wide.
She limps CO, he raises BTN 4k. I look down sb at 99.
What do you do?
This tourney pays top 10% flat rate of $2000. No need to win. But we have $33k and can’t just cherry pick every spot like a nit….yet.
We can’t call and set hunt. We can’t really 3bet to 12-15k and commit to any flop. We “should” have fold equity over a wider iso range. We have him covered too, as he has 25k. Can we fold?
It’s that or jam imo. We jam and force him to play for his tourney life.
He hems and haws and eventually opts to put his tourney on the line calling off the huge bet with AKo.
We need a clean runout. Flop J76r. Turn Q.
Dont do it… Don’t do it…
River T. 🤮
We are critical again. 7k at now 800/1600 blinds.
We pick up QTss MP and open shove before blinds come to us. Only active BTN calls. He has A7ss and holds.
We gone.
But the patience we showed so critically short for over an hour is a winning move.
Our momentum was winning play. And our 99 hand was a winning move.
I don’t feel a bit bad how I played other than the JJ hand early putting us in the spot requiring patience (where many frustratingly punt and rebuy).
Until next time, #PokerCaddie⛳️….out.

A few short years ago I wouldn't imagine this being my favorite Dem & respect him more than almost all Rs but here we are
U.S. Senator John Fetterman@SenFettermanPA
The Iranian regime executed a 19 year old for demanding democracy. I stand with his memory and the thousands of other young Iranians. Those who grieve the elimination of Iranian leaders over murdered protesters is telling.

Vic Schaefer with a nice shout out to Cheryl Burnett, a coaching legend at Missouri State. Took the Lady Bears to two Final Fours. Both Cheryl and Spoon on the men’s side had the Hammons Center rocking all winter
Ryan Collingwood@rwcollingwood
Does @MoStateWBB seem like a No. 16 seed? Texas head coach Vic Schaefer: No.

@Choppodong1 @SharpFootball His post game handshake was douchey thats what I first noticed so the canned tough guy postgame wasn't surprising. Glad for the STL kids on that squad tho.
English

@SharpFootball Meh. I react differently. I love emotion, but he came off douchey and completely ignoring the interview questions. He was answering with what he wanted to say and that only.
I don’t think that showed even-keel leadership in the least. Coaches are usually boringly stoic.
English

@Choppodong1 Add Gard to the pile here oh my, sad likely end for his Wisconsin career
English

@Coach_LR My thing was you could get a good look for sure. But only one. Better make it count.
But to not even get a look? Gross. Lack of coaching there.
English

@Choppodong1 4.3 means 4-5 dribbles and a shot, or 3 dribbles and a pass to a shot. But you have to have the ball moving rapidly on basket as soon as it comes in. Dying in their hands for a full second kills the above timeline. Pretty poor by Diebler here.
English

@Coach_LR Edny would’ve been better…would’ve applied more pressure too.
That didn’t even effort to get it across half court for a realistic shot attempt. It was lame.
Edny proved you have time.
